Life – Isn’t it AMAZING!

Dear Friends!

Today I’ve been thinking about how my life isn’t at all what I ever expected. Recently I lost my job do to a work related injury. Everyone kept asking me what I planned to do about it. Even though I absolutely loved the fact that my friends and family cared, the questions gave me anxiety. I am a firm believer that everything happens for my highest good and in the timing that is right. So when the questions kept coming I started thinking how it must look to them. I’m sure they were thinking that since I didn’t seemed worried that I wasn’t being responsible.

What most others I interact with don’t know, is that I am a practicing witch and I have complete faith in my craft. I have peace knowing that the universe and I are in sync. I know that my life has purpose and I will be placed in whatever situation I need to be for me to grow and to help others energetically. I carry a very high vibration and I am very thankful for that. Knowing all this gives me power. Strength to not let situations steal my power!

A few days after losing my job I came home to find that my cat, Sami, had given birth to four adorable little furballs. Sami had given birth to one of her kittens right outside their litter box and left it. She was cuddled up with the other three in the laundry basket in the bathroom when I finally found her. I cleaned the tiny one up and placed it in with their mom. I was so worried that the little one wouldn’t make it. I had to calm and ground myself. I sent healing energy to Sami and her babies. It has been almost two weeks now and I am happy to say, all are healthy and strong. I am so glad I lost my job! If I hadn’t been there, that little one would have died. Watching those little fluffs eat and sleep and watching how Sami instinctively knows how to be a great mom, is just AMAZING!

This is just one example of how a seemingly horrible event in life can be turned and used for good. I would love to hear your story!

Blessed Be my Friends,

Dina

P.S. On a side note, being off work has allowed my shoulders to recover from the constant fatigue they had been enduring. Yet another positive!

Breaking Stereotypes Around Witches and Witchcraft

Dear Friends!

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone and they start talking about religion with you. And you listen and show respect but when they ask you about your beliefs they are shocked? I have found that most people I have come in contact with have a more “Hollywood” idea of what a witch is than what a witch really is? Most of the people I have opened up to about my practice of witchcraft, are shocked and assume that I am into devil worship even though I’m no different that I was five minutes before having that conversation.

I have been a practicing witch for quite some time and I do not worship the devil (Heck, I don’t even believe in a devil!), I do cast spells (it’s not much different than people praying), I do believe in a God and Goddess or higher power of some sort (I’m still working on that idea) and I don’t hex people or wish anyone harm (though some sure do deserve it!).

I do enjoy wearing black because it is easy to match and also black, to me, is symbolic of protection but not all witches wear black. There is no book of laws that says what a witch must do or not do. I do believe that most witches would practice the “do no harm” mentality.

Have you ever come across any of these stereotypes? I’d love to hear your story!

Blessed Be my Friends!

Dina
